Don’t get me wrong, I am a colour girl at my core. I even declare my love for the bold, bright, and beautiful here, here and here, but as I welcome back the summer wardrobe I missed so fondly, I’ve been thinking that a monochromatic mix of neutrals could be a really chic move. And while most of the time, my inner monologue insists that I’m a goody two-shoes tenth grader skipping into the sunshine, some days really do call for an effortlessly chic, grown-up look worthy of my twenty-nine years.
Quite ironically, soft neutrals deliver a strong message in the same way that an all-black look can do. Remember Sandy at the end of Grease? I mean, if there was ever an example of goody-two-shoes-turned-badass-confidence, it’s her (ignoring, of course that the message of that film was to change everything about yourself for the guy you like at school). But back to neutrals: I’ve noticed in my recent online cruising that I am gravitating toward fantastic neutral basics that can bend to many occasions and make colour coordinating oh-so simple.
Beige, tan, nude, buff, whatever you call it, I can’t get enough! #poetry

Love all these images. I’m totally into nudes as well. I just have to be careful because I’m fair and sometimes it washes me out.
