I’m starting today’s post with some quick trivia because I like to entertain and educate here on MS. Did you know that the term ‘plaid’ is used only in Canada in the US, and it is referred to as ‘tartan’ elsewhere? Yep, blew your mind.

I don’t know how it happened, but somehow 90s grunge plaid has weaseled its way back into our collective heart and I kinda like it. The resurrection was subtle, but strong and this fall it seems the fashion world is just mad for plaid (ugh, sorry). It makes sense as a classic fall pattern with its moody, cozy tones – did you know that its literal Gaelic meaning is “blanket”? Woah, I just snuck in another fact for extra credit.
