I always knew my style skewed toward east cost preppy, but nothing has made this more apparent to me than a move to the west coast. Here in LA, shirts are rarely tucked in, hair is almost always a perfect bed-head-meets-beach-waves, and my husband and I often get double takes in our matching loafers (OK, that could be the matching).
It could be that my heart was back on the east coast last weekend with photos from home depicting extravagant Canadian Thanksgiving feasts, but when I received this brand new Kiel James Patrick oxford in the mail there was an actual squeal. I could not be more in love with this shirt – a classic oxford blue that would feel ultra all-boys school uniform if not for the dainty scalloped collar detail. I can’t wait to layer it up through the west coast fall and winter; LA grunge style be damned!

I felt that way for a long time with online shopping, but now I order 2 (or sometimes even 3!) sizes and try them on at home. Luckily most companies (including Kiel James Patrick) offer free shipping on returns – easy!
